An AI-Based System for Assessing the Risk of Early-Stage Parkinson's Disease

"An AI-Based System for Assessing the Risk of Early-Stage Parkinson's Disease"

The project’s objective is to develop an advanced artificial intelligence solution designed for the early assessment of Parkinson’s disease risk and the automation of the clinical screening process by analyzing motion data collected from wearable devices. The solution will enable the identification of individuals at increased risk, their classification into risk groups, and help prioritize patients who require a more detailed clinical examination. The project is co-financed by the European Union.

Project budget: 171 024,19 EUR

Amount of funding allocated from the EU fund: 136 819,35 EUR

Project implementation period: July 13, 2026 – July 13, 2027

Project activities: Develop an AI solution that analyzes wearable motion data to predict Parkinson's disease risk, prioritize patients, and support early clinical screening.

Project outcomes: A sophisticated AI solution is developed and brought to market

Project results: An advanced AI-based solution will be developed to analyze motion data from wearable devices, enable early Parkinson’s disease risk assessment, classify individuals by risk level, and support clinical decision-making by prioritizing patients for further examination.
